Junior/Mid-Tier Software Engineer

In 2020, AutoX obtained the world's second fully driverless RoboTaxi permit from the state of California. AutoX is at the forefront of L4 autonomous vehicle technology, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in self-driving cars. Our simulation/evaluation org plays a crucial role in accelerating development and evaluation of advanced algorithms that power the future of automobile.

We’re seeking talented and motivated software engineers to join our simulation/evaluation org. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of cutting-edge simulation environments that help train and validate our self-driving car systems.

Locations:

• San Jose, California, US
• Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and optimize simulation software for autonomous vehicles
• Identify simulation realism gaps and priorities with data-driven approaches
• Develop algorithms, tooling, and integrate machine learning models to improve simulation realism
• Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists and hardware-in-the-loop team to improve simulation precision and recall

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in software development, preferably in simulation
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Experiences of designing and developing large scale distributed system, data ETL pipeline, and using SQL/No-SQL databases
• Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with autonomous vehicle technology or robotics
• Familiarity with ROS or similar robotics middleware
• Hands-on experiences of machine learning based application
