Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sensor systems engineers to understand requirements and opportunities for next generation autonomous driving sensors.
  • Interact with sensor hardware engineers to understand how they are verifying requirements and validating their implementations.
  • Develop methodologies for validating system requirements including Lidars, Radars, Cameras, GNSS, IMU and Microphone arrays. Coordinate testing with cross-functional testing teams, analyze data, and provide test reports.
  • Update system requirements based on validation results and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with more than five years of work experience, or master's degree with more than three years of work experience.
  • Strong communication skills with experience authoring formal specification documents and the ability to communicate cross-functionally
  • Experience in defining validation plans based on an understanding of component level requirements and intended use cases
  • Familiar with software development processes, proficient in using Python/MATLAB for modeling and data analysis, and able to read C/C++ code.
Preferences:
  • Experience with autonomous driving sensors, including LiDAR, Radar, Camera and their use case in autonomous driving vehicles
  • Experience with development of software or hardware for validation platforms
  • MS or PhD in Physics, Electrical or Computer Engineering with more than five years of work experience.
