Motion and Behavior Planning Engineer

In 2020, AutoX obtained the world's second fully driverless RoboTaxi permit from the state of California. Responsibilities:
- Develop motion planning and decision making algorithms for autonomous vehicles to generate safe, smooth and comfortable behaviors.
- Work on cutting edge planning and decision making problems, including data-driven approaches, planning for interactive and uncertain situations, highly efficient geometry computation, etc.
- Write high quality software and tests. Collaborate with other engineers to ensure a smooth integration with the entire software stack.
Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or similar technical field of study.
- 2+ years of industrial experience in motion planning for autonomous vehicles or robotics.
- Deep understanding of one or more of the following: trajectory optimizations, geometric algorithms, search-based motion planning algorithms, decision-making algorithms.
- Solid coding skills, experience writing C++ in a production environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferences:
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or similar technical field of study.
- Experience with machine learning, especially in safety critical real-time systems.
- Experience in code optimization or high-performance computing.
