The weather team works cross-functionally to develop technologies that ensure safe autonomous driving in all weather conditions. We're seeking skilled data scientists to help us overcome the challenges of adverse weather.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance of autonomous driving systems under adverse weather conditions.
  • Design and run simulations and real-world tests to evaluate system performance under various adverse weather scenarios.
  • Develop and refine algorithms or machine learning models to enforce weather specific restricted Operational Design Domains (ODD).
  • Work closely with autonomous driving systems, system engineering and data science teams to integrate weather-related degrading profile and optimize the overall system performance.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s or PhD in machine learning, computer science, robotics, or a related field.
  • Experience with sensor fusion and perception for autonomous vehicles or robotics.
  • Experience or a strong interest in developing solutions for adverse weather scenarios, such as heavy rain, snow, or fog.
  • Excellent communication, strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with autonomous vehicle technology or robotics.
  • Experience in software engineering for simulation and evaluation.
  • Experience with machine learning and deep learning.
