Locations:

  • San Jose, California, US (Salary Range: $75k—$300k USD)
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and apply regulatory requirements and standards for electrical systems and components, including those for appliances, lighting, and related systems. Incorporate supplier specifications into design and development processes to ensure full compliance.
  • Guide and review the technical design of electrical systems and components to ensure compliance, reliability, and adherence to relevant standards.
  • Manage the certification process for specialized electrical components, developing tailored certification plans.
  • Develop comprehensive EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) programs for the full vehicle, coordinating cross-domain and cross-system communication to address certification and performance requirements. Oversee technical collaboration with certification bodies, identify applicable test standards, and finalize test plans.
  • Track, collect, and analyze evolving standards for electrical components and systems, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Define and manage quality objectives, key performance characteristics, and control requirements for electrical and electronic architecture components. Provide expert feedback on system design and optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of experience in BEV electrical systems and supplier control processes.
  • Proven expertise with the design and implementation of vehicle EE architecture.
  • Experience in EMC certification design and development, including testing and certification process, with strong proficiency in vehicle electrical architecture design and integration.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Prior work experience with a major automotive OEM.
