Locations:
- San Jose, California, US (Salary Range: $75k—$300k USD)
Responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation of standards, regulations, and testing procedures for chassis components, including brake-by-wire, steering-by-wire, air suspension, CDC shock absorbers, and traditional chassis systems, ensuring compliance with passenger vehicle regulatory requirements, with a particular focus on state-specific regulations in California and Florida.
- Develop and manage chassis certification strategies and ensure the vehicle chassis meets regulatory standards.
- Coordinate closely with certification bodies to identify applicable testing standards, streamline technical collaboration, and finalize comprehensive test plans.
- Monitor, analyze, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving standards and regulations related to chassis systems to ensure full compliance.
- Define critical quality metrics, establish key performance characteristics, and develop robust control measures for chassis components, and provide technical guidance and actionable recommendations to achieve stringent quality and safety objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory certification testing with major OEMs, including extensive hands-on experience in end-to-end chassis certification testing process.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Prior work experience with a major automaker.
